The farm Montalbera born in the early twentieth century in a territory between the towns of Grana, Castagnole Monferrato and Montemagno. In the mid-eighties, the Morando family, adopting a policy of expansion not yet completed, with the acquisition of adjoining land and direct planting of new vineyards, mainly Ruche. Ruche is once close to extinction. Local decided to revitalize this indigenous grape and the appellation was up graded to D.O.C.G in 2010. Tasting Note 鑒賞:
Full bodied, dry, robust and attractively tannic, very well balanced and harmonic. The mouth detects red berry as cherry, apricot jam and on the finish a slightly vanilla-flavoured coffee.
